I have loved photography since I was a little girl. I first fell in love with an accidental picture that I took of a Lock. We were on a family trip to Virginia and of course stopped off in Colonial Williamsburg. As we walked through the town, out of the corner of my eye, I saw a crusty and rusted lock hanging on a white picket fence. As my family walked passed, I quickly threw my hand over the fence with my camera and hit the shutter release. I ran away to catch up with my family. I looked down at my camera to see if i even caught the lock in the image. To my surprise, not only did I get the lock centered in the picture, the angle of the photo mixed with the vibrant color of the lock produced an eye-catching photo. I would like to share the image with you today, however, through many computer crashes and file transfers, I no longer have the image. Ever since that day I find myself inspired to take pictures (and to get more secure computers). Here is a look at some pictures I have taken through the years.
Photography is a subject that I will always learn and grow in. In recent years, my inspiration has diminished with the heavy loads of work, school, and wedding planning. Funds have been low, matching my energy and spirits. It didn’t help that I have had the same Nikon DSLR for 5 years. I have learned that it doesn’t matter what type of equipment you have but it does matter how you use it. My Nikon D3200 has been a great camera for me (however I have been ready to upgrade to something with more settings). I did notice the quality of the lenses that came with the camera were not the best. I recently purchased my first new lens, Nikon 50mm f/1.8D AF Nikkor Lens. It is one of the least expensive lenses I could find that has great reviews. Since purchasing the lens, I can see why people love it so much. It has been the perfect addition to my camera family. It has helped boost my spirits and has helped me find more inspiration. I am looking forward to purchasing more lenses and more accessories too!
Stay inspired when the going gets rough. Mix things up to help boost your creativity. It will pay off in the long run! I look forward to sharing more pictures with you in my posts as I learn more about this lens. Ill be posting more photos in my photography section soon!
Cheers!
